Ten Years of Proving That Everyone Deserves Better Care

Ten years ago, I made a decision that changed everything — for me, for my family, and ultimately for hundreds of patients and physical therapists across the country. I left Las Vegas (what happens there, stays there — including a very memorable chapter working with Cirque du Soleil performers) and started Concierge Orthopedics Physical Therapy with a conviction I couldn't shake: everyone deserves the level of care that professional athletes receive. Not just the lucky few with elite insurance plans. Everyone.

I also wanted to build something that worked around my family — not the other way around. In healthcare, that's a radical idea. A decade later, I'm proud to say it works.

What Ten Years Actually Looks Like

When I started CO, I was one PT with a big belief and a lot of hustle. What's grown from that is something I genuinely couldn't have scripted. This past year alone has brought milestones that stopped me in my tracks:

• A brand new office. A space that finally reflects the quality of care we've always delivered — and one that feels like us.
• A new provider in Dripping Springs. Expanding access to the Hill Country community, bringing one-on-one concierge care to patients who've been waiting for it.
• Dr. Shania Grode as COO. Three years ago, one of the best things that ever happened to CO was Dr. Shania Grode stepping into a leadership role. Her expertise, vision, and commitment to our patients have shaped everything we've become.
• 50+ providers nationwide through our licensing program. Four years ago, we started offering PTs across the country the chance to launch their own concierge practices under the CO model. Today, we've helped more than 50 providers build careers and businesses — from Alaska to Florida, New York to California. The mission is no longer mine alone. It belongs to all of them, too.

Why This Model Still Matters — More Than Ever

The problem I set out to solve hasn't gone away. Most outpatient PT clinics are still overbooked, underfunded, and stretched so thin that patients get 10 minutes of real attention if they're lucky. Therapists burn out. Patients plateau. The system fails everyone involved.

Concierge physical therapy was built as a direct response to that system. One therapist. One patient. A full hour of focused, expert, hands-on care — in your home, your office, wherever your life actually happens. No referral. No waiting room. No one-size-fits-all protocol handed to you on a printout.

Every year we grow, that original promise stays the same: your health, your way.

To Every Patient Who's Been Part of This Journey

In February, we celebrated our ten-year anniversary with a patient appreciation event — and standing in that room, I was overwhelmed. Because every person there represents a recovery story. A shoulder that healed. A surgery that went better because of prehab. A chronic pain that finally had a name, a plan, and a way forward. A parent who got back on the floor with their kids. An athlete who made it back to the sport they love.

Those stories are the whole point. They always have been.

I started this practice to prove that great care and a great life aren't in conflict. That you can build something sustainable, meaningful, and excellent — without sacrificing your family, your patients, or your integrity to do it. Ten years in, I believe that more than ever.

What's Next

We're not slowing down. More locations. More providers equipped to deliver this level of care in their own communities. More patients who finally get the treatment they've always deserved.
